Serendipity Woods Shop Progress

Superman, Defined

Happy Monday, All.  It occurs to me that last week – I was almost completely delinquent about staying in touch with the progress of how we’re doing with the launch of our new Serendipity Woods Shop.  As I begin this week, I promise to do that a little more specifically in my next post, but I also want to start with giving you the skinny on Superman, whom I’ve mentioned a number of times here at my CLH blog.

As far as the business goes, some things have been slower in progression, some things have been crazy fast!  In all of it, though, the best part has been working with Superman (my husband, who works from home,  in his office across the foyer from my studio, and doesn’t think he measures up to Superman status…pish). The thing is, he’s a bit of a Jack-of-all-trades.  He knows at least a little bit about everything, so sometimes he’s this guy:

Having grown up with a grandfather who owned a service station, he knows tons about cars. Of note, this is he with our oldest son, Peter Frampton, who is not the least bit interested in cars, but rather, the study of words and how they are made up to produce language (that's Linguistics, in case you wondered).

He’s also this guy:

Have you ever met someone who is just a complete animal magnet? Yep, that's this guy, with little Francie, who passed away a few years ago. He's never afforded the opportunity to sit anywhere in the house without a dog either at his feet, or laying somewhere across his body. The predicament: We're now on our second round of four miniature schnauzers at once. It's a dog's life around here, and he is their Alpha.

He’s never afforded the opportunity to sit anywhere in the house without a dog either at his feet, or laying somewhere across his body. The challenge: We’re now on our second round of four miniature schnauzers at once.  Fortunately for them, he’s not a small person. It’s a dog’s life around here, and he is their Alpha.

He’s the original inventor of the ‘Selfie-with-a-friend’:

An interesting tidbit about us, is that I've known him since I was 14, been his girlfriend since I was 15, and his wife since I was 21. He is the original inventor of 'the selfie-with-a-friend.' There are literally dozens of photos like this in our stash.

Lastly, he’s this guy:

This is a photo I did not take - because I hardly ever see him dressed like this. A colleague took it while traveling with him in Japan, I believe. Of all the things he's great at, his incredible business sense is immeasurable.

So, yes – I need to update you on how we are progressing with the launch of our New Serendipity Woods Shop (and I will do that next). However, I wouldn’t be doing all this without Superman, so it made good sense to appropriately introduce him to you first. He’s my business partner, my best pal, and the smartest guy I know.

Happy Quilting,

Pam
